Here's another rare slice of northern soul from deep in the heart of Texas. It's by the Debonairs who cut this one in the mid '60s for the Soul Click label in the Oak Cliff area in South Dallas. The topside is "Please Come Back Baby."

The most remarkable part of this record is that it's soul that sounds as if it was recorded live – not created in the studio with a hyper-careful producer. This isn't polished to a high sheen, it's rough hewn, and very real. No wonder it's become one of the most sought after 45s from the Dallas soul sceen.

It's flipped with "Untrue Woman" which is a bit slower in tempo but still great.
