You are bidding on an original, used, U.S. WHITE LABEL promotional pressed, gatefold, eight track, stereo, black vinyl LP by Death titled "Leprosy" on the Combat Records label from 1988. ISBN 88561-8248-1.

The vinyl is in very nice, clean VG+ condition overall. Both playable faces have a few very light paper scuff marks. I believe this item was in this exact condition when I bought it years ago. I never played this copy due to it being a promo and as I had an original Combat pressing of the CD years ago.

I play tested this record on a Revolver turntable with a Sumiko Blue Point Special cartridge to test for any presence of surface noise. The vinyl tracked perfectly and the noise floor was very low. This album SOUNDS AMAZING on vinyl! I haven't listened to this album in a LONG time. Listening to it now on good equipment, I vividly recall how beautifully produced "Leprosy" was for the time period. Death metal with superior clarity without compromising one ounce of brutality. Chuck's vocals sound SICK, the bass is DENSE, the guitar tone is exceptional, and Bill's drum sound is absolutely KILLER!

The full color, gatefold, cardboard outer cover is in VG+ to EX condition. The gold promotional stamp is in the upper right hand corner of the back cover (see photos). This copy also comes with a folded, single sided Combat roster release sheet that is still in excellent condition.

This copy has been signed by bassist Terry Butler, drummer Bill Andrews, and legendary lead guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter, Chuck Schuldiner, in metallic silver ink pen on the back cover (see photos). All the signatures can be clearly seen. If I remember correctly, this was signed when Death played in Denver, Colorado at the Gothic Theatre touring to support the "Human" release back in either 1991 or 1992.

I've owned this record for MANY YEARS and can't recall exactly when or where I acquired it. It has been safely stored in a cool, dry environment for longer than I can remember.

I've been reluctant to part with this item as I had met and spoke with Chuck, Terry, and Bill several times when I traveled and did a lot of concert photography. Chuck had even contacted me at one point to get in contact with Harry "The Tyrant" Conklin of Jag Panzer to work with him on a project years ago. This record brings back memories of the first time I saw Death perform at the Milwaukee Metalfest III back in 1989. I met Chuck at a party with Autopsy and Dr. Shrinker at the hotel later on. Chuck, Terry, and Bill were always very cool with me and I'll always remember Chuck as a true underground spirit and a great guy. He is truly missed.

I sincerely hope the winning bidder of this item is a serious, appreciative, and caring vinyl collector who will place it among their collection and care for it as I have for all these years. Good luck finding another copy that is both a promo and signed in this lifetime. In 30 years of collecting records, this is the only white label promo I've ever found on the Combat label.

All international winners of vinyl LPs or multiple items will have their items securely packaged, taken to a U.S. Post Office location, and get a direct airmail shipping quote to be added to their winning total.

All buyers, both foreign and domestic, are responsible for requesting extra shipping services for their packages prior to payment. Domestic packages can have insurance, registered, or delivery confirmation added to their shipping total. Foreign packages can have insurance or registered shipping added to their shipping total. These postal services ensure safer, trackable delivery of your package, especially internationally. If a winning bidder does not request special shipping services prior to payment, or if a winner fails to respond to e-mail inquiries for special shipping services, the total will be calculated, or the package sent with no special shipping services. Therefore, if the package is damaged, lost, or stolen once shipped without these special shipping options, the seller is absolved of all further actions, either in past, present, or future, regarding the package including any compensatory measures in any amount to the buyer.
