FACTORY SEALED: Applies only to original factory-sealed records. Naturally, it is assumed that the disc condition would be MINT, but that cannot be guaranteed. There can be very minor production flaws on even these records. While rare, it should be noted that the possibility might exist. So, these items can only be assured of being factory-sealed "new" but not necessarily "MINT" condition.

MINT: LPs described as MINT - in short, should appear as new. There are no visible scratches, marks, scuffs (no matter how light) or stains of any kind. Groove surface should have a brightness or sheen that indicates no evidence of play, and no warping of any kind. Typically, Mint describes open but un-played records.

NM: Near Mint condition records appear as mint on casual inspection, but may have one very slight, visible mark or very light scuffing or staining that would not affect the record's play. Groove surface should still be bright and appear as new or little played. Still, no visible warping whatsoever.

EX: Excellent - This is a description we use, most commonly referred to as (the confusing and vague) "VG+++."
It allows for more light scratches or scuffs than a "NM" record, but still not as to affect play significantly. The disc's surface would still likely appear bright as if played little. Note: A disc described as "Excellent" could also describe a record with no visible scratches, scuffs, or stains, but has been played with some regularity and has lost some of its sheen.

VG+: Very Good+ - An intermediate grade better than VG but not quite Excellent. Slight warping that does not affect sound is possible in this grade.

VG: Very Good describes vinyl condition with visible scratches or scuffs, ble scratch that may skip at one point, but all other tracks would be describe as excellent. It should be noted that whenever a track is known to skip, it is acknowledged. Slight warping may apply.

G: Records described as "Good" will have appeared to have been well played. Several scratches or scuffs are apparent or may have more than one significant scratch. Warping may apply. Disc is playable, but may skip or have noticeable audible noise.

Fair / Poor: These grades indicate a disc that was neglected and does not represent much of a listening value. Please note: records in this condition are not usually offered, with the exception of very rare items or for the cover art only.
In this event, the value is assessed in relation to extreme rarity or the cover alone.

G:

DISCO en estado pasable. Muchísimas señales de uso que pueden afectar al sonido considerablemente. La carpeta puede tener algún doble, rotura y mucho desgasTE

VG:

Material en buen estado. Vinilo y carpeta con señales de uso normal. Vinilo con rallas superficiales que no afectan casi al sonido. Lomos de la carpeta algo desgastados por el uso. En general, muy bien.

EX:

Material en excelente estado. Muy pocas marcas de uso. En el vinilo, alguna ralla superficial pequeña sin afectar para nada al sonido. El sonido como si el vinilo fuese nuevo. Carpeta sin dobleces, ni peladuras, ni desgastes.

M:

Material como nuevo. Todo perfecto, sin ninguna marca de uso.

Mint

Die Schallplatte und das Cover ist fast neuwertig oder wirklich neu. Kann auch noch eingeschweißt sein.

EX

Excellent

Wenige Gebrauchsspuren, leicht geringfügige Verschlechterung der Tonqualität. Das Cover ist geringfügig abgenutzt.

VG

VeryGood

Kleine Kratzer bzw. leichtes Rauschen können vorkommen.
Das Cover kann Einrisse haben, ist aber noch brauchbar.

G

Good

Die Platte hat an Qualität verloren. Hat starke Kratzer. Das Cover zeigt Beschädigungen.

F

Fair

Die Schallplatte ist gerade noch abspielbar, allerdings mit sehr starken Qualitätseinbußen. Praktisch nur noch Archivierungswert. Das Cover ist sehr stark beschädigt.

W

Worn

Bei dieser Qualitätsstufe beginnen die wirklich schlechten Platten. Sie sind überdurchschnittlich abgespielt. Kratzer und Grundrauschen sind deutlich hörbar. Das Cover dieser Qualität ist stark beschädigt, oft eingerissen oder stark verschmutzt.
