"Pet Sounds" ist eine der legendärsten Popscheiben aller Zeiten, unzählige Male beriefen sich Kritiker, Musiker und natürlich auch Plattensammler auf dieses Werk. Brian Wilson war zu diesem Zeitpunkt kein aktives Mitglied der Band, wohl aber der entscheidende Mann für diese Produktion. Die Beach Boys waren damals die erste Rockformation mit eigenem Studio und auch der Freiheit, so zu produzieren, wie sie es sich vorstellten. Diese künstlerische Freiheit nutzten Wilson und Co. zu Kompositionen, die mehr als den bisherigen Surfingsound boten, sie waren vielschichtiger und variabler in der Instrumentierung. Was blieb ist der unwiderstehliche, mehrstimmige Gesang und die Beibehaltung traditioneller Sounds mit Ursprüngen bei Rhythm & Blues, dabei blieb die Einbeziehung von Fremdklängen, wie es die Beatles in der ähnlich bedeutenden LP "Revolver" auch vornahmen, eher begrenzt. Trotzdem hören wir hier auch mal Streicher, Flöten, Orgel und Trompete, was sich aber in einen Gesamtkontext einbindet und eher kompakt klingt....In kultigem Mono !!....................

" The DCC analogue LP/RECORD is in " FACTORY SEALED " condition, complete and made in JAPAN/USA =  mastered by Steve Hoffman from the original master/session tapes with all vacuum-tube cutting system. The Cover/Booklet includes the complete original artwork, linernotes and Photos from the ORIGINAL-LP/RECORD.  This analoge LP /RECORD comes with the original DCC-Poly wrap in factory sealed condition. The original DCC-Poly wrap has no tears and is factory sealed.  There are none dents, none seamsplits or none cracks in the Cover ....... It is not a cut-out. (No saw marks or drill holes.) It is a completely original Japan/USA-Pressing on the DCC Compact Classics, Inc.
