THERE ARE NO RESERVES ON OUR ITEMS.  THE SURCHARGE FOR A RESERVE HAS GOTTEN FAIRLY EXPENSIVE FOR US.  I CANNOT AFFORD TO ABSORB THESE FEES.  I WILL NOT PASS ONE PENNY OF THAT EXPENSE ON TO THE BUYER BY RAISING WHAT WE CONSIDER A FAIR STARTING PRICE FOR THE ITEM BEING AUCTIONED.  HENCE, WE WILL JUST LIST EACH ITEM WITH THE STARTING PRICE AS THE RESERVE FOR EACH ITEM.

     This offering is especially for the DCC 180 gram LP fan who might think they might have every title.  Well, you may not have known this even existed it is that rare.  If you know about this one and have been looking for a copy here it is.  If you don't have this one - well - you don't have them all!

     Being offered here for the first time is the ultra rare Elton John Greatest Hits VOLUME 2!  There is an Elton John Greatest Hits on DCC 180 gram vinyl.  This is not to be mistaken with that common title!  This is the follow up VERSION 2!    

     This could well be the only one of these ultra rare Elton John's Greatest Hits VOLUME II DCC test/pressings in EXISTENCE that has an authentic  factory LP cover paired with it.  This record never made it to commercial pressings as DCC went bankrupt at the time of this pressing's creation and planned release.    

     Some years ago I came across this rare DCC  test pressing with some other titles.  Only the test pressings were ever made of this record.  I also managed to locate the factory prototype cover for the lp. There were even fewer of the covers that were made as prototypes.  Pure stroke of luck I might say because the lp is rare enough, but the cover is far more rare!  Again, the 180 gram LP was never put into production.  There were only a handful of test pressings made of this record.  

      I cleaned this lp on a VPI 16.5 record vac with Disc Doctor fluid.  I test played it once to make sure everything was there on the vinyl.  I have since tucked this away in my stash for over 15 years and have not played it since. 

     Both LP and cover are in NM condition.

      My System -  All play and play testing of my vinyl is done a VPI Classic Turntable and a Dynavector 17d3 cartridge.  This is a fairly expensive and high end set up.  The cartridge is unforgiving with sonic purity, and plays magnificent.  The rest of the system is mostly McIntosh components with a lot of tweaking with EAR, VPI, Seismic Sink, and other components.  An analog McIntosh Audio Control Center allows me to be extremely flexible with any format I want to use.  Took me 20 years to figure this out and finally get the best sounding system for a fraction of the cost of some others.
