D.B. SHRIER QUARTET "EMERGES" LP - On Alfa Records, #DSM 100.  This is the original 1967 U.S. private pressing LP - NOT A REISSUE.  Monster spiritual jazz masterpiece featuring the track "East".  This is the guaranteed original pressing in a thick cover!!  Only a few hundred originals were made.  The personnel:  D.B. Shrier/tenor sax; Mike Michaels/piano; Tyrone Brown/bass; William Roye/drums.  The vinyl is in mostly NM condition (beautiful gloss)!  There are, though, a few hairline scratches on Side 1 that may be audible during playback.  The thick cardboard cover is in superb shape and displays wonderfully: bright and clean with only a hint of storage wear.  There are NO seam splits, NO bends or creases, NO cut-out marks, and the front cover graphics are particularly striking.  The songs are:  Blue Lights; East; Raveesh; These Foolish Things; All Blues.
