EXTREMELY RARE 1ST ISSUE INVERTED MATRIX NUMBERS 1967
BW The Gospel According to Tony Day
This is an extremely RARE hard to find 1ST ISSUE of David Bowie's The Laughing Gnome from 1967 on the DERAM label.
IT IS 100% GENUINE WITH THE INVERTED MATRIXES ON THE RECORD LABEL DM 123 THEN INVERTED DR 39798. The B side is The Gospel According to Tony Day - DR39799.
This is definitley NOT the 70's re-issue.
This single was one of my most treasured possesions as a teenager and although it was played a handful of times on very special occasions it was handled with reverence and the vinyl has survived remarkably well with no major damage just the usual trivial surface scratches
This single has not been played since about 1974 - so I have no idea how it would sound!
THIS IS A GREAT ITEM FOR ANY SERIOUS BOWIE COLLECTOR.
