GENUINE 1st ISSUE - ONE OF DAVID BOWIE'S RAREST LP AND THIS ONE IS IN STUNNING COLLECTABLE CONDITION.

This album very rarely surfaces on e-bay especially in this condition! This record sold in minute quantities upon its release in 1969 whilst Bowie was just finding his feet on the Psychedellic Rock / Avante Garde Rock circuit. Hugely influential on artists /bands to this day -A mixture of folk~psych...rock...glam flourishes all delivered with superb instrumentation and ofcourse Bowie's unique vocals. Bowie also handles 12 string guitar, stylophone , kalimba ,rosedale electric chord organ plus a few friends. Now read on...............

THE SLEEVE - full colour , heavy quality ,gatefold with amazing graphics and original artwork. Curly hair period Bowie photo on the front with innovative spaceage design by Vernon Dewhurst / Victor Vasarely .Sharp edges and opening ~ very light shelf wear only in evidence~minor corner scuffs~fully ledgible spine~ beautiful clear image on the front with no tears / writing etc a fabulous example~ vivid colours. Philips badge to the top right corner. Excellent front cover.Inside of the gatefold you will find the lyrics to all of the tracks. Clearly printed and again in top condition. My photos of this record and its cover are not 'enhanced' and are taken in natural daylight to give a true image of the item that you will win

The rear sleeve was created by George Underwood ~ a dream like painting complete with a pierot figure and groovy looking Bowie image in the bottom right corner ~the back cover is in Excellent Condition.

Overall a clean / flat well cared for sleeve which would grace any collection ~ I doubt whether another will appear like this for some time~ a real 'Keeper' copy

THE VINYL - Heavy quality vinyl. GENUINE 1st PRESS . UK 1969 .stereo. MATRIX STAMPS READ: 852146 1X "2* 1 I 1 ~~~~ 2Y"2 1 l 2 .Looks and Sounds Fantastic.Original Full Gloss Lustre. Lays beautifully flat on the deck.Superb clean labels both sides with light trace of spindle marks only. This copy has not been overplayed at all. Carefully protected and stored over many years in a cherished collection.Slimline name sticker on both labels~very neatly placed which demonstates how well the original owner looked after his collection.Played only a handful of times only.I have played it through once to play grade and it sounds fantastic~ played loud on a sensative deck there is only a very light surface noise during the quieter passages~ not distracting at all . There are a couple of very fine hairlines on each side which do not affect the playback apart form a light tick on 5 revolutions in the second third of the "Cygnet Committee" track but again is only a very minor defect. I have spent many hours play grading rare classical records for a very critically discerning market and count myself as fully qualified to grade this masterpiece as:
