Description

VINYL: EX+

SLEEVE: EX+

INNER: EX

FAN CLUB INSERT: EX

Original 1973 UK first pressing of David Bowie’s Aladdin Sane on RCA Victor, catalogue number RS 1001.

Complete early example with the original gatefold sleeve, printed lyric inner sleeve and scarce four-panel David Bowie Fan Club insert featuring the printed facsimile Bowie signature.

Matrices / runouts:

Side 1: CPRY 4543-3T / A1 AI

Side 2: CPRY 4544-3T / AIAN

The vinyl is in superb EX+ condition with clean labels and very little evidence of play. It retains a beautiful glossy appearance with just a few very light hairlines visible under strong light. There is one light hairline running across tracks 3 and 4, producing only a couple of minor crackles around this section.

The record has been cleaned and fully play-checked and plays exceptionally cleanly throughout, with only occasional traces of light background crackle.

The original gatefold sleeve is also in superb EX+ condition. These sleeves are frequently found with significant wear, but this example remains exceptionally clean with sharp edges and a strong, fully legible spine.

The original printed inner sleeve is in Excellent condition, with just a light thumb crease to one side.

Also complete with the original four-panel David Bowie Fan Club insert in Excellent condition, with just a few light creases and no writing.

An exceptionally attractive and unusually complete example of the original 1973 UK pressing.
