1977 Debut LP Eddie & The Hot Rods "error" sleeve!

 

Limited edition first UK pressing on STIFF Records, possibly 2000 or 3000 copies, with a picture of the Eddie & The Hot Rods instead of The Damned. The Hot Rods somehow end up looking like even bigger degenerates than The Damned, STIFF creates an instant "collectors item" (trash collectors) and the rest is history.

 

Album & sleeve are still in excellent condition, see photos. Comes with the Damned Disciples song book!! This book was published by Stiff Records in 1977 and, I believe, was a promotional item.  26-page songbook including lyrics from the 1st album, Stretcher Case and Sick Of Being Sick plus more with some great photos!

Vinyl looks really clean. No scratches. Original paper inner sleeve. It says "PATENT Nos. 1,125,555" and "MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN" on one side of it. Side one's matrix / catalog number etched in the vinyl is I - 6 SEEZ 1 A1. Also etched on side one is "A PORKY PRIME CUT". Side two's matrix / catalog number reads I - 10 SEEZ 1 B1. Also etched on side two is "THE SOUND IS IN THE PLASTIC".
