original Jamaican pressing on Rub-A-Dub, 1976.

One of the very best dub albums ever created, produced by Donovan Germain, featuring the Revolutionaires as the backing band. Errol Brown, Sylvan Morris, and Crucial Bunny mixed and engineered. Crucial!

The cover shows some very wear, mostly near the opening; small ink stain on back, probably from when they were stamping the labels: VG+

The vinyl is beautiful; track 1 on both sides have some vinyl discoloration that does not affect play—you can't hear anything when tracking; side two there is one small vinyl bump and three vinyl indents that absolutely do not affect play: Jamaican pressings are not exactly known for their high quality, but this one is much much better than most. In truth there are no spindle marks and appears unplayed—very shiny! Others would grade this album EX-, but I am conservative and grade it a strong VG+.

GRADING

I grade vinyl very conservatively. I don't just sell records, I buy them for myself as well. I will never sell a record that is less than VG+. The only records I will grade Mint are sealed records, and even then will note cover condition. I do not rate records Near Mint. The next-highest rating for me is Excellent.

Mint = sealed
EX = like new condition, little to no wear visible
EX- = may have a sleeve mark that does not make noise, or slight sign of handling, but still plays excellent
VG+ = no major flaws, looks good and plays great, occasional minor pop or click, used but not abused
