“Conversations With…” by The Silhouettes (Segue Records, SEG 1001)
Excellent private jazz vocal LP from Pittsburgh, produced by Nathan Davis. Just simply one of the best jazz privates out there, and with two huge break tracks, “Fonky First” and “Lunar Invasion.” Increduble cover, just heartstopping greatness throughout, and so many genres covered: Soft Rock, Exotica (their “Hashi Baba” kills!), Rare Groove, straight jazz goodness… why are there not more LPs like this, I ask you? This is a bona fide original, by the way… not that crappy boot with the third rate cover scan that came out a while back.
Should appeal to fans of Penny Goodwin, Vince Andrews, The Dance of the Universe Orchestra, Faith Pillow, Clarice Labbe & Charlie Hampton, the Frank Cunimondo private LPs, Sheila Landis, Cavril Payne, Sons & Daughters Of Lite, those brilliant Jazz Bizniz comps Russ Dewbury puts out, the kind of stuff Gilles Peterson digs up, and the like.
Condition: Cover = EX (very minor edge wear, no splits, no writing, no dirt, although it looks like someone very neatly covered the top seam edge wear with black marker… I almost didn’t notice)/ Record = EX+ (no spindle marks, clean & shiny, plays perfectly)

PACKAGING/SHIPPING/POSTAGE: As I’m VERY careful about keeping LPs in their described condition, I ship all LPs in custom LP mailers and use filler pads. I pack the disc with the inner-sleeve placed behind cover (both in a plastic slipcover) to prevent seam splitting in transit.
Postage for 1-2 LPs within USA: Media Mail = $4.00 or Priority Postage = $7.50, each additional LP add $2.00 (per LP).
Insurance is optional, but any uninsured package is the Buyer’s responsibility (At Your Own Risk) and I cannot refund lost or damaged packages. Insurance rates are as Follows: 0-$50.00 = $1.30; $50.01 - $100.00 = $2.20; $100.01 - $200.00 = $3.20; $200.01 and Higher = $4.20.

Airmail for Europe/UK = $12.00 for 1 LP, each additional LP add $3.00 (per LP). Surface mail Europe/UK = $6.50
Airmail for Japan/Australia/Asia = $15.00 for 1 LP, each additional LP add $5.00 (per LP). Surface mail 1 LP =$8.00.
Airmail Canada = $6.50 for 1 LP, each additional LP add $3.00 (per LP).
