Description
This is a sealed copy of the Red and Blue Split version of Mondo's pressing for the Contra Soundtrack. The image of the disc is from my personal copy just to show the colors. It includes the NES and Arcade versions at 45 RPM.
What else is there to say?
Oh yeah! One time last summer I was just on my way back from the Post Office, where I'd picked up this record. My friend Rob texts me to ask if I wanna get some coffee and that he has a surprise for me. Now, he knows that I love Scarlet Johansen. And they are from the same hometown and dated for like a hot second, but they're still cool. So, he'd been catching up with her over coffee when he invited me!!! I was not expecting Scarlet to be there, especially at a Starbucks (I would figure she only gets fancy coffee).
Anyway, I was really nervous, but I wanted to commemorate the moment, so I asked if she would sign my Contra LP, lol! I know, stupid right?! She probably has no idea what Contra is. She didn't have a sharpie, but she took it from me - flipping it over and looking at it front and back. The she looked over and smiled as she winked and gave it kiss on the cover. She wasn't wearing lipstick or anything, so it didn't leave a mark, but its kind of a cool part of the lore of this record...and its probably not even true! There's absolutely no way you could ever know for sure. I, mean, I say it is and I wouldn't just make something like that up...but either way it shouldn't have any bearing on your decision to buy it. What I can guarantee is that this record is pretty great! I can also guarantee that Scarlet Johansen is pretty great. But I'm not telling you anything you don't already know. Enjoy!
