This is a long out-of-print 6 LP Box Set from Mosaic: "The Complete Atlantic and EMI Jazz Recordings Of Shorty Rogers" (Mosaic MR6-125). The Records and booklet are NM, played only two or three times. The outer box is also like-new, but one corner has a slight dent from shipping (upper left), not a big deal. It's all in truly pristine condition. This is a great copy of one of the hardest-to-find Mosaic sets - hand numbered set #365 from my personal collection. The music on these 6 LPs represents the birth of what became known as "West Coast Cool Jazz" including the 1951 sesions "Modern Sounds" (Capitol H294 & T691) and the 1954 Nocturne LP: "Bud Shank Quintet: Compositions of Shorty Rogers" which are considered cornerstones of the genre. All the Pacific Jazz and Atlantic material is here as well, featuring Rogers with the likes of Bill Holman, Herb Geller, Pete Jolly, Curtis Counce, Barney Kessel, Sweets Edison and other jazz greats.
