What is it?
Coming Up Roses - I Said Ballroom (Utility UTIL 5, 1989)
Dolly Mixture were the most amazing band ever. Well, they were pretty amazing anyway. Rachel Bor married Captain Sensible and I presume they had a daughter cause I saw someone who looked alarmingly like her at a Damned concert in the mid-1990s and it unless Ms Bor was freeze-dried in 1983, it cannot have been here. Anyway, pre-Saint Etienne and Birdie, Debsey Wykes gave pop stardom another go, along with Hester Smith, as Coming Up Roses, and once more missed by about a million, million miles. This, like every other record on Utility barring Billy Bragg's first records, sold next to nothing at the time despite being great; like Dolly Mixture but slightly slicker. I had a CD copy of this (really!) and sold it on eBay a while back knowing I had it on LP. What I didn't remember was that i had TWO COPIES of the LP too. Hence, I am selling this. It's brill.

Condition
Sleeve: EXCELLENT: I am being super picky; the spine is intact but there is a slight dent on the opening about two centimetres from the top, and another less significant bump at the bottom. It is in original shop condition but may have got bumped in the bag on the bus home.

Record: EXCELLENT: Played sparingly and careful. I am geeky and treat my records nice. Incidentally, my principle (commercial suicide as it may be) is never to grade as MINT unless I know for an absolute fact that the record has never been played before.

TRUST MY GRADINGS; I worked in a top London collectors shop for years, and my VG is most people's MINT on eBay.

I recycle packaging when possible; it's cheap and also the right thing to do, people.
