Description

Please read the entire description, including Shipping and grading details!

You are bidding on the LP shown. This is a Vintage 12", 33 & 1/3 rpm Vinyl LP! It is NOT a recent reissue! All records Graded BY EYE ONLY!

PLEASE READ: This LP is from a recent collection I bought of over 400 MINT or NEAR MINT Classical LPs. The former owner had probably near 3500 LPs, so needless to say he didn't listen to any of them more than a time or two before going on to his newest acquisitions. The Vinyl quality is exceptionally high on these! I presume most had only 1 play. Often there aren't even any spindle marks. Uniformly, the Vinyl retains it's original 'AS NEW' Gloss and freshness. This is one of the largest collections of Very High Quality VINTAGE Classical LPs I have ever purchased, and certainly the one with overall, the best condition Vinyl. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed with the LP quality! There are lots of Living Presence, Shaded Dogs, DGG, Bluebacks etc etc to come out. Keep checking back.

Some LP COVERS are a bit dusty, and sometimes the former owner made a discreet note and date in ink on the rear cover of the sleeves. When this occurs, it will be noted in the description.

Description sequence is RECORD/SLEEVE.

Columbia MS 6298. Stereo. Black and Gray label with Six 'Eyes'. A Top Grade, Choice, 'Collector's Condition' Copy. The Vinyl is exceptionally bright and clean and glossy. Played only a time or two if at all. Sharp! Sharp! Sharp! You could not ask for a better copy. Mild sleeve wear. M/NM

If you have any questions about the label, dead wax markings or any other points of issue please ask away! Also ask if the names of the Soloists/Orchestras or pieces performed are not clear in the scan. As early on as possible. Last minute questions are sometimes missed! Please view my recent feedback to see how other e Bayers grade my grading!

Records are graded by Eye ONLY! (Unless I indicate otherwise).  I don't call anything a scratch unless I can feel it with my fingernail. Very fine 'lines' that are more like scuffs as far as their impact on the vinyl, but have a more linear shape than the usual amorphous scuff I call 'hairline' marks. I grade under a mixture of fluorescent and natural light in a bright white room! The sequence I use for summing up the condition is RECORD/SLEEVE. My scanner does not scan a full 12" Record sleeve, so the sharp eyed among you will notice that a thin sliver of the cover seems to be missing. Rest assured, it is there and in the same condition as the portion you can see! On some very dark LP covers quite a bit of the sleeve does not turn up on the scanner. Disregard these artifacts of the scanning process-everything is as it should be. Any flaws will be noted in the description.

This is one of many LPs we are auctioning this week. 2011 will feature many  LP Auctions from us. We have at least a couple of thousand to sell.  Rock, Jazz, Blues, Psychedelic, Spoken Word, Classical, Soul, Country & Western, Vocalists, etc etc etc! Please mark our eBay Auctions and check back weekly!

I am a Used and Rare Bookseller by Trade, but I have bought and sold Records for over 30 years. I've sold Records on eBay a number of times, and so far I have never gotten any negative feedback from a Record Buyer. In an earlier job as a Record and Book buyer for a large Bay Area Book store, I handled many tens of thousands of Records. Feedback I've gotten in earlier auctions seems to indicate that the record buying public thinks my grading is accurate. I tend to buy only records in pretty sharp condition as to save myself the problems associated with listing more marginal grades. Please take a look at my feedback.

Shipping will be $4.00 (Media Rate) for shipping to the US. Priority Mail is $8.00. Air Mail International shipping is $12.00 ($9.00 Canada). If you order more than one LP, please wait for an Invoice before paying. Often several LPs can be sent for the same cost or for a nominal increase to US addresses. Overseas expect to pay $16 shipping for 2 LPs, $20 for 3, $26 for 4 and $31 for 5. Those are estimates, sometimes they are a bit lower depending on the weight of the LP. 2 LP sets count as 2! OVERSEAS customers who want registration Insurance etc must pay extra! Inquire...Postage is not a profit center here. I try to cover my materials and postage costs only. California Residents MUST add 9.75% Sales Tax or provide a valid California Resale Number. No exceptions!

Records are shipped in the folding 12" LP Mailers. The Records are taken out of the sleeves and everything goes into a plastic bag. I pad it with two 12" square sheets of thin bubble wrap. I pack and ship hundreds of items in a month, so they will be packed securely! Large quantities are usually shipped in oversize Boxes.

Thanks for looking!
