Description

You are bidding on the LP shown. This is a Vintage ORIGINAL 12", 33 & 1/3 rpm Vinyl LP! It is NOT a recent reissue!

Columbia MS 6255. Stereo. Black and Gray label with six 'eye'. An immaculate copy of the Record. Probably played once, then put away since. Very bright and clean and glossy Vinyl in choice Collector's condition. A top grade copy. From the same Estate as the sealed Columbia LPs I'm auctioning. These people bought a lot of records that they obviously never listened to or played only once! This is one of those. Thanks for doin' that! Some mild abrasion along 2" of the top seam of the sleeve. NM/NM-

My grading for Classical Records is conservative. I generally only bother to buy and sell VERY HIGH GRADE copies (at least as far as the Vinyl goes-I'll accept problems with the sleeves).  It's not worth the effort otherwise! I have tons of Classical LPs to sell this summer. Read below for more info, including grading.

This is one of many LPs we are auctioning this week. 2010 will be a big summer for LP Auctions by us. We have at least a couple of thousand to sell.  Rock, Jazz, Blues, Psychedelic, Spoken Word, Classical, Soul, Country & Western, Vocalists, etc etc etc! Please mark our eBay Auctions and check back weekly!

I am a Used and Rare Bookseller by Trade, but I have bought and sold Records for over 30 years. I've sold Records on eBay a number of times, and so far I have never gotten any negative feedback from a Record Buyer. In an earlier job as a Record and Book buyer for a large Bay Area Book store, I handled many tens of thousands of Records. Feedback I've gotten in earlier auctions seems to indicate that the record buying public thinks my grading is accurate. I tend to buy only records in pretty sharp condition as to save myself the problems associated with listing more marginal grades. Please take a look at my feedback. You may have to look through a couple of pages as I've been selling a lot of other items recently, but it's there!

Records are graded by Eye ONLY! (Unless I indicate otherwise). My highest grade is NM. I don't call anything Mint (I call it 'sealed'!!). I don't call anything a scratch unless I can feel it with my fingernail. Very fine 'lines' that are more like scuffs as far as their impact on the vinyl, but have a more linear shape than the usual amorphous scuff I call 'hairline' marks. I grade under a mixture of fluorescent and natural light in a bright white room! The sequence I use for summing up the condition is RECORD/SLEEVE. My scanner does not scan a full 12" Record sleeve, so the sharp eyed among you will notice that a thin sliver of the cover seems to be missing. Rest assured, it is there and in the same condition as the portion you can see! On some very dark LP covers quite a bit of the sleeve does not turn up on the scanner. Disregard these artifacts of the scanning process-everything is as it should be. Any flaws will be noted in the description.

Shipping will be $4.00 (Media Rate) for shipping to the US. Priority Mail is $8.00. Air Mail International shipping is $12.00 ($11.00 Canada). If you order more than one LP, please wait for an Invoice before paying. Often several LPs can be sent for the same cost or for a nominal increase to US addresses. Overseas expect to pay $16 shipping for 2 LPs, $20 for 3, $26 for 4 and $31 for 5. Those are estimates, sometimes they are a bit lower depending on the weight of the LP. 2 LP sets count as 2! OVERSEAS customers who want registration Insurance etc must pay extra! Inquire...Postage is not a profit center here. I try to cover my materials and postage costs only. California Residents MUST add 9.75% Sales Tax or provide a valid California Resale Number. No exceptions!

Records are shipped in the folding 12" LP Mailers. The Records are taken out of the sleeves and everything goes into a plastic bag. I pad it with two 12" square sheets of thin bubble wrap. I pack and ship hundreds of items in a month, so they will be packed securely!

Thanks for looking!
