 Apologies!  I ended the auction on this set because it was accidentally listed incorrectly as one grade higher than it is, and I didn't want the winner to be disappointed.  If you bid before, please bid accordingly.  It's still a great set!  

Columbia 5 LP set M5S 677 Beethoven: Late Quartets and Grosse Fugue; Budapest String Quartet. Issued in 1962.

Records: NM-; very minimal spindle marks to labels; no significant surface mars; first 2-eye labels with black Stereo 360 Sound lettering; 1A-1B matrices. Has the bright blue striped Columbia paper sleeves that were used just a few years.  # of quartet penciled to sleeves.

Container: NM-; light shelf wear to cover panel edges (see photo); owner's name to cover, but not obtrusive.  Box is sound; Illustrated booklet with transcriptions of Beethoven's letters NM.

Notes: an excellent copy of this classic set on the first issued labels.


  Cost of first record is $3 within the US and each additional record is 50 cents, except for 78 RPM; these will be sent at an extra cost due to amount of packing needed to get them to you safely. I recommend insurance on 78s, but insurance is optional and costs an additional $1.30 per package. You can combine shipments bought over a period of ten days and save costs of individual shipping. Let me know if you want to do this when you win something. For postage to foreign countries, including Canada, the items will be sent AT ACTUAL COST + $2. You can have the package sent by any US mail method you want and I will let you know the options. You will need to give me time to have your package weighed to determine actual costs. Overseas buyers can pay by PayPal, however, US and Canadian must pay by Money Order or Personal Check. Before bidding please read my grading system, outlined below. By bidding you are agreeing to these terms. *Grading: All records visually graded only.* Records: NM=Near Mint: Records appear new, no spindle trails or surface mars NM- =Near Mint Minus: Well cared for with a minimum of spindle trails and mars. NM/VG+ = Not as good as the last grade. May have a low level of recurring noise due to surface imperfections. VG+ = Well used. Plays well. May have several noisy areas due to surface imperfections. VG+/VG = Record plays. May be many areas of noise. VG = Noise likely to constant and severe. Containers: NM- = Generally new condition NM/VG+ One or two defects such as corner wear or slight ring wear or soiling VG+/NM- Generally good but a variety of problems VG+ Considerable wear, possibly corner damages and a vareity of taped or split seams.
