S Newcombe was meticulous - if there is information that is incorrect or incomplete - he will correct it with small neat notations on the cover.
Very rare find - please check my other listings and read the important information below
Please read the following information.
These items belong to the deceased estate of Mr S Newcombe (Auckland) who recently passed away.
He was a respected worldwide authority on military, brass and wind bands (as well as arranger, conductor and author).
The items for auction are only the recorded music and programmes. His lifelong and exquisitely detailed research is being donated to the New Zealand library and we've now found a good home for his international research (which is the mainstay of his work).
All the funds from these auctions will be returned to the Newcombe family to cover their expenses (and there are many items to list) – so please come back and have a browse or request if you're looking for something specific.
If you have any questions about the items on auction or are looking for that ‘missing something’ please do not hesitate to ask. I am not a specialist in this area of music but will do all I can to help.
If this auction item has caught your eye, there will be something else of interest on auction - All postage happily combined.
Thanks for looking.
