Description
Up for bids is a VERY rare copy of Clutch's 1991 debut on Inner Journey records. I would say the vinyl is a 9.5 out of 10. The outer sleeve is also in near perfect. This one does have the Inner Journey insert that originally came with it. As I have collected these over the years it would have been easy to cherry pick the best inserts and put them in the gold and clear ones. I never did though. However I found them, is how they stayed. I will be listing many more items from Clutch and other good bands. Here is some info from thier website.
Inner Journey Records
IJ-005

SIDE A
Wicker
Arcadia
SIDE B
Juggernaut
Far Country
Recorded by Larry Packer @ Uncle Punchy Studios in October 1991. Additional guitar work by Mark Stanley and Scott Crawford. Released on Black, Gold, and Clear vinyl. There was also a misprinted black 7" released that had track listings on both labels instead of just one side. The "Test Pressing" mentioned in the Inner Journey Flyer is on Black Vinyl, and comes in a red paper sleeve that says "Far Country Test Pressing" on it. (Pitchfork was originally called "Far Country"). The "St. Ides Pressing" was just going to be Pitchfork printed on a malt colored vinyl. (Apparently some members of the band and the IJ crew had a fondness for that particular beverage. Who could blame them?) It also mentions a Clutch Anthology CD which was never released to my knowledge.
- black pressing (standard) - 850 copies printed first pressing
- gold pressing - 150 copies printed first pressing
- clear pressing - ??? copies printed first pressing*
- black pressing (standard) - ??? copies printed second pressing*
- misprint pressing - ??? copies printed during second pressing of standard*
*(there were a total of 500 copies printed of the clear pressing and the second black pressing, but Dave (from the now defunct Inner Journey Records) couldn't remember how many of each were printed. It's also uncertain how many misprints were printed.)
I am not a vinyl dealer. I’m a collector that is parting with some great pieces. I have treated these like they were my pride and joy. I will package your album securely. All vinyl will be out of the paper sleeve and in its own plastic sleeve. If you are OK with the standard shipping I will send this to you in a cardboard mailer. Standard shipping is $4 for a 7” and $7 for a 12”. I don't trust the post office at all myself. If you would like it boxed I am more than happy to do that. I have received rare vinyl damaged before and it is truly heart-breaking. I can box a 7" for $9 and a 12" for $13. International bidders please wait until I send an updated invoice. I will also do my best to combine shipping without sacrificing the merchandise.
