PLEASE READ PLAY GRADE CAREFULLY ON THIS ONE!!!!     

This is an original, 1972 Brain Metronome press of Cluster's 2nd lp, "Cluster II". Dark and fairly sinister electronic instrumental lp. Influential-as-all-hell German ambient recording. Highly coveted early electronic music. 

Dead Wax Info: Side 1 has st 1006-A and 0064.137 S1 and PF all etched into the dead wax, and K and 1A all stamped into the dead wax. Side 2 has st 1006-B and 0064.137 S2 and PF all etched into the dead wax, and 1 stamped into the dead wax . Original and early Brain Metronome German pressing.  

Vinyl Visual Grade:  VG/VG+ with GREAT gloss and one MAJOR ISSUE ON SIDE 1. There is some surface scuffing showing on the last 5 minutes of Side 1 (PLEASE VIEW ALL PICTURES). Side 2 shows NM with no issues. Labels show very minimal play.

Vinyl Play Grade:  VG/VG+ overall with GREAT fidelity and little static throughout, as one might expect with a 43-year old lp. The above mentioned scuffing causes cluster (HA!) ticks for the last quiet minute of "Im Suden" and for nearly all of "Fur Die Katz", some parts heavier than others. The ticking is not overbearing, but is definitely distracting. The balance of Side 1 and ALL of Side 2 play at least VG+, approaching NM with intermittent static. This may improve with a good cleaning.    

Cover Visual Grade: VG/VG+ on this rather delicate laminated original gatefold German cover. There is some laminate lifting here and there, laminate peeled away top left corner about 2-inch square. No ring wear to speak of, and spine/seams are quite good Minor price sticker residue/tearing top right front. Inner gatefold shows minor waviness. All in all pretty nice.   

Comes with original white die-cut paper inner which I have lined with a rice-plastic Audiophile style inner.

ALL records will have been visually inspected under BRIGHT incandescent light with extreme scrutiny.

ALL open records will have been play graded using a Thorens TD 165 turntable and Yamaha amplifier (JBL reference headphones). Treble set high so nothing will be hidden in my grades. My grading is as follows:

M or Mint - NOT USED as there is no such thing as perfection.

NM or Near Mint - No significant markings - sealed or RARELY played.

VG+ - Minimal marking - none of which significantly affects fidelity of lp.

VG - Minimal to modest marking which affects lp but not to the point of distraction.

G - Modest marking but still VERY listenable, depending on your ears.

I WILL NOT SELL ANY LP AT LESS THAN G UNLESS THERE IS SIGNIFICANT HISTORICAL VALUE ATTACHED TO THE LP.

ALL COVERS WILL HAVE DETAILED DESCRIPTIONS OF ALL FLAWS.

I USE PROPER RECORD MAILERS WITH STIFFENERS AND PADDED CORNERS. I HAVE BOUGHT TOO MANY RECORDS ON EBAY WITH DINGED CORNERS FROM INSUFFICIENT PACKAGING. BY PADDING THE CORNERS WITH FOLDED BUBBLE WRAP (WHICH I DO) , YOU CAN BE SURE OF RECEIVING AN LP WITH NO DAMAGE TO THE CORNERS.
