Description

Clive Matthews – ‘Apology’ / ‘Version’ – Percival (JA)

No introduction necessary. Absolutely essential late 1970s roots reggae by this very obscure artist. The same rhythm was used for Trevor Byfield’s equally superb ‘Tell Me That You Love Me’ on Mistic. Clive and Trevor would appear to have been friends, as in 1976 they recorded ‘Sea Of Love’ together on the Altex label.

Condition: Visually, the record has some scuffs and a few marks, but I would still rate it at least VG+ or thereabouts, it certainly plays very nicely (please listen to the clips). Worn labels, with ring wear, particularly on the A-side (please see scans).

Obviously, the second highest bid will have been raised, as it were, artificially by the ‘fake bidder’.
