Description

This was The Clash’s first UK tour.

Although punk was largely regarded as a London movement, it quickly took hold in of and the Electric Circus was its centre.

Located in Collyhurst, a north Manchester suburb a mile or so outside the city centre, it was mostly a rock and soul club that had punk gigs on a Sunday night. It only lasted ten months before being closed down, with Warsaw, who went on to become Joy Division, playing the closing party.

The poster measures 59x42 cms.
