This auction is for MEGA RARE TEST PRESS album "Frost and Fire" form
CULT EVIL US metal band Cirith Ungol!!! totally masterpiece of OBSCURE EPIC POWER METAL!
How rare it is? Here is info from Metal Encyclopedia: Original issue on the band's own "Liquid Flame Records", initial edition of 500 copies (cat# HM13666). A repress of 1000 or 2000 copies followed shortly after the first press with slightly altered labels and a different cat# (LF001). Reissued in 1981 on Enigma Records/Restless Records.
BUT BEFORE THE FIRST 500 COPIES BAND DID TEST PRESSING WITH GREY BLANK LABLES. THIS copy comes with ORIGINAL early 1980s photo and insert!
HM-13-666 on record - SO ITS ORIGINAL AND NEITHER REPRESS NOR GREEK BOOTLEG!!! According to the band this press was limited to only a few copies!!!
Info from the band: "I was the original dummer and co-founder of Cirith Ungol. After 9 years together we finally released our first album "Frost & Fire". This is a VERY RARE opportunity to obtain the original first copy of this the first album we produced. This is especially rare as Jerry our original guitarist passed away many years ago. Hard time makes me offer the rarest piece of Cirith Ungol memorabilia and my most important in my collection. Although I never made any success I am hoping that one of our fans has been successful and can aquire this once in a lifetime piece of rock history. We were the first band in LA to release out own record independently and this was it. The label is even blank! "
