Description

Here is a rare find; an original pressing of "Record Without A Cover" by the seminal turntablist/sound collage artist CHRISTIAN MARCLAY, released in 198 by Recycled Music and very difficult to find. This was (as one would guess) released and shipped out without a protective cover of any kind, thus allowing each individual copy to collect it's own individual scuffs and scrapes, becoming an individual artifact unto itself, unique from all others in the edition. An absolute conceptual masterpiece, and a highly influential record. I would grade this as VG; it looks as one might expect with some visible scuffing, but fully playable and a very enjoyable listen. I am not sure that normal grading guidelines really apply to this particular release in any case. Seems sort of antithetitical to the concept, really. One side contains the untitled piece of music, the other (shown) features the etched text details of the recording. VERY RARE! Don't pass this up!
