Description

Extremely rare Chinese pathe 78 # 35622. I believe this to contain the mandarin shidaiqu singer Zhou xuan aka chow hsuan. I believe this to be an original and not a repress, as it contains the original Sleeve and musical insert. I am not sure when it is from.

The 78 itself is about an E+ or better on both sides with very little play. Very shiny and no marks on the actual grooves themselves. While taking photos for the listing I noted a small 'crack' on an edge of the record, which is visible on both sides. I cannot be felt on the grooves, nor does it effect playback (I tested both sides). Please check the last photo- it was nearly impossible to photograph.

Labels are mint, shiny, bright and like new with no writing or wear on them. Insert has some minor paper bends and a rip. Original 78 sleeve says sole disteibuter for pathe records (faded) electric and musical industries head office zikaweib shanghai. The sewing on both edges are still intact, but the bottom of the sleeve is ripped.

Free domestic shipping, tracking, and insurance. International buyers must use the global shipping program.

This record will ship very carefully in a boxed record sandwhich, with the record in generic sleeve in between cardboard. The Sleeve and insert will ship together in between a cardboard piece in plastic bag.
