Description

Recorded in NYC in 1951 with a large Orchestra. A partial list of probable personnel is as follows: Mario Bauza, Doug Mettome, Jimmy Nottingham, Nick Travis, trumpets; Eddie Bert, trombone; Lenny Hambro, George Berg, alto sax; Flip Phillips, tenor sax; Danny Bank, baritone sax; Don Lamond, drums; Candido, bongo. There are many other musicians included but not identified. OFarrill, is the arranger, conductor. 8 tracks. This is a powerhouse Orchestra. O'Farrill's work was a milestone in Latin influenced jazz. Cover: Vg+ to Mint(-) Intact. Minor edgewear and very light aging on the front and back cover. Record: Mint Visually shows no wear. No surface noise. Fine copy. Audibly checked.
