Description
This is a very nice audiophile copy of Chicago Transit Authority, the first LP by Chicago, the pressing issued by MFSL in 1984, pressed at half speed by Victor Company of Japan (JVC). These LP were pressed on virgin vinyl which is translucent in that light passes through. This is an incredible sounding LP that features several cuts that show that the group was more than just a horn based band. There are several cuts that feature some of the most amazing psych feedback guitar solos by the late great Terry Kath.
The LPs are graded excellent. Visually the LPS are beautiful free of marks. The LPs were tested using headphones and played very nicely. The only thing heard was a very quick low hint of crackle during piano intro to Does Anybody Know What Time, which to me really was not a big deal, but I am disclosing it. The cover is in excellent condition. There are a few short creases on the front cover. There also some minor spotting/loss of color at certain places along the top and bottom seams and near the top and bottom corners. There is very minor wear at all four corners. The seams and spine are strong with no splits and the product information is clearly readable on the spine.
The LPS are being sold without reserve and payment is expected within 3 days of auction close. Return of the LP will only be accepted if the same LP sold and shipped is returned in the same condition received.. Buyers that behave in a less than ethical manner will be reported and blocked from participation in future auctions.
If you bid on and win more than one item shipping for multiple purchases will be adjusted. If you win more than one item do not pay until I have had the opportunity to issue new invoice to reflect combined lower shipping cost. Shipping for one item is $4 and includes tracking.
