Description

This is part of a "Leftovers" auction I'm doing. I just didn't have time to list these when I did their label-specific auction.  There are 10-20 records each from Atlantic, Excello, Checker and Chess.  Some absolutely killer stuff there that I can't believe I didn't get to the first time around.

Here's the info on this item:

Release: Muddy Waters - Turn the Lamp Down Low / Who's Gonna Be Your Sweet Man

Format: 45 rpm 7" single

Year: 1953

Notes: Original 1953 release on 7". Early single. Another great track from one of the masters. The A-side is an R&B flavored track with Little Walter, but the b-side WOW - just a blazing straight blues track, full of emotion.

Vinyl Condition: Vinyl is in nice shape nice shape with just a couple of tiny marks.  Very clean.  Labels are very nice as well with just some light scuffing.  The weird defect here is what I can only describe as a "micro crack". It's a hairline crack, visible on both sides that extends from the runoff about halfway into the play area.  I play tested both sides twice and heard no effect whatsoever.  Both sides played through and played very well - sound is excellent. It's too thin to really capture on camera, but it's feelable.  Not sure how that would effect the true grade, so please take this info and bid accordingly.

Look for awesome Gospel auction coming in Mid-November then I'm off for the rest of the year.  Still have some great stuff to sell and will be back at it in January.

I want buying from me to be a good experience for you. I also know that condition can be very subjective, so I encourage you to see pics for exact condition details and ask questions if you need additional information. As always, the item you see is the one you will get. Please see my feedback, I think that will show that I am an accurate and fair grader and make sure my customers are happy.

I will combine shipping for anyone who wins more than one item.  If you do need combined shipping, please wait for an invoice before paying.
