As with many original 10" 1950's-era recordings, this one plays with light background noise or "crackle", and occasional, irregular, light clicks from the recording and production technology used at that time. These "as made" characteristics are distinguished from noise that has resulted from wear, in that they were present from the moment the record was pressed, and are audibly absent in the dead wax between tracks.
Here is the visual grading condition:
THE VINYL : EX : Lightly played with minimal evidence of spindle wear, both sides of the LP retain much of their original gloss with undamaged, bright, Black and Silver Mercury labels. There are a few light marks, including some cosmetic sleeve wear from the inside cover, and a some minor hairlines.
All tracks play through with no skips or sticking: there are no deep marks.
In all, the record has been carefully handled, infrequently played, and produces a strong mono audio.
THE COVER : G : Minor cover scuffing / the spine is intact / upper and lower seams have splits/no tape on seams / no writing, paper loss, paper tears or stains/ corners show slight wear.
