Description

This is Mercury Records MG-C-501, Charlie Parker With Strings, a black, deep groove labeled, original mono issue, of this classic session. The record looks to be in VG condition, showing many marks on both sides, but playing VG+ with just occasional light clicks. The cover with the beautiful David Stone Martin drawing, has clear tape on the bottom seam and some wear on the open edge but is otherwise excellent and intact. The labels have light spindle marks and a name tag on side 1. The record has been  cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12. This would make an excellent initial "play" copy of this very rare and sought after original issue. This is part of a large jazz collection I will be posting over the next few months.
