SELLERS NOTE:
"This copy is a unique 'transitional' pressing featuring specific factory-corrected runout etchings. On Side A, the 'NV 2562 A' prefix was left intact as it matched the new series catalog, but the following legacy string was X’d out to avoid confusion. Side B, however, shows a total 'X-out' of the original 'NV 2552 B' sequence, as it was sourced from a different plate entirely and required a full re-stamp for this 1977 release. This mix of partial and total manual corrections by the Polydor engineers is a hallmark of an early production run using high-quality Japanese metal masters, providing a fascinating look into the manufacturing history of this specific disc."

WHY JAPANESE VINYL?
Japanese vinyl pressings are globally renowned for their superior"virgin" vinyl compounds, which provide an exceptionally low "stone silent" noise floor and crystal-clear audio fidelity. During the 1970s and '80s, Japanese plants maintained much higher higher quality control standards than their Western counterparts, using fresh stampers to ensure every copy captured the full dynamic range of the master tapes. These releases are also celebrated for their premium packaging, featuring heavy-duty card-stock covers and archival-grade inner sleeves that preserve the record better over time. For the serious listener, a Japanese pressing represents the pinnacle of audiophile craftsmanship and long-term durability.
