Description

Original deep-groove pressing of Charles Mingus "A Modern Jazz Symposium of Music and Poetry" on Bethlehem BCP-6026. The playing surface is in nearly new condition: bright and clean with a high luster; perhaps played once or twice. The cover is in amazing condition: there is no ring-wear or soiling so common to this non-laminated issue: bright throughout; light rubbing to the bottom seam at the spine and 3" to the opening, leading to a 1" split; otherwise, sharp corners, with no splits, writing, etc. Personnel includes Bill Hardman, Shafi Hadi and Clarence Shaw.
