Catapilla
US Vertigo Spiral (VEL 1006) Original Promo copy from 1971
The cover has a lot of issues..I'd grade it a G- at best. Rec Cuts sticker on front, ripples from water damage at lower left, water damage induced ring wear, small ink pen writing at upper left, wear at the bottom of the spine, two inch seam split at the bottom and another 1 1/2 in seam split at the bottom center and discoloration inside the gatefold at the edges. All of these show up well in the scans. No musty smell is noticeable.
The disc has some issues also.. It has four narrow scratches that are barely feelable and audible between the end of the first song "Naked Death" and the second song "Tumble Weed" They are not deep enough to cause any stylus damage...and the music is so loud and dense that most of the time they aren't audible unless you listen closely. The side long cut on side two is scratch free and plays well on my Linn Sondek. The disc rates a VG- overall.
I normally don't list records in this condition...but the music is so bloody fine on this, that It's still worth owning.
