Sun 287. Glad All Over/ Lend Me Your Comb. When a warehouse closed in Camden, NJ in the early 1970's a small quantity of 78's were discovered. They were sold to a used record store in the Pennsauken Mart and were briefly put out for sale. Trying to sell a 78 in 1974 would have been like trying to sell an 8 track tape in 1993. It was an obsolete format that no one cared about anymore. After very few sold they were boxed up and put into storage where they remained for decades. I bought the remaining stock 5 years ago. All of the pristine copies have already been sold. The handful of copies I have left will be sold in order of condition. I'm down to my very final copies. The copy listed here is in the best condition of the ones I have left.
This copy is in clean condition with some storage wear. Visually I grade it as between VG and VG+ with clean labels. There are a few pressing bubbles on each side. The final 4 photos are an example of surface condition. It also come with the original brown paper sleeve that shows some moisture damage and small tears.
78 RPM records cannot be shipped the same way that 45's and 33's are. For ultimate protection they must be securely sandwiched between rigid cardboard and then wrapped heavily in bubble wrap and then put into an oversized box. International packages cannot be insured and all risk is assumed by the buyer. If this condition is not acceptable to you (I completely understand if you feel that way, I would too) please do not bid.
Save on shipping with multiple wins. For domestic shipping each additional LP is 25 cents for media mail. For international shipping, I have to calculate a price based on weight. The rate changes dramatically for each pound (as an example 2 lbs. is $23.75 and 2 lbs. 1 oz. is $35.75) If you're bidding on multiple items just request an invoice when you're done and I'll send an adjusted invoice.

GRADING
Near Mint or Mint Minus: My top grade. The record or cover will show the most minimal of wear. The record will have top gloss. The cover will be free from any ring wear, splits, or handwriting.
VG++ : Not quite Near Mint but a super clean, desirable record.
VG+ : The record or cover will show signs of wear but no significant defects.
VG : Obvious signs of wear but the record still has life in it. VG does not mean beat.
VG Minus : The record or cover will show moderate to heavy wear. For a common record this would not be an acceptable grade. For an in-demand, rare record it should be considered.
Good : Very heavy wear. This grade would only be acceptable if the record is rare enough that you might not see another copy available for sale.
