You are bidding on an LP.  Captain Beefheart And His Magic Band – Mirror Man, very good condition cover and near mint vinyl (see notes below).  The item will be well packaged in a record mailer with 2 stiffeners (the vinyl removed and placed in a white paper sleeve to prevent seam splits) and sent immediately upon payment.  First Class postage in the UK, 'Standard International' to other destinations (see below).  I have tried to be as honest as I can about its condition but if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

ABOUT THESE CAPTAIN BEEFHEART LP'S:
All these Captain Beefheart LP's come from the same collection.  Apart from some natural degrading of the covers most of the vinyl is close to near mint unless otherwise specified.  The playback on most of these records is 'pure joy' with hardly any surface noise apart from the odd crackle and clicking in places which is down to natural dust, usage.  The vinyl has been very well kept and treated with respect.  If you are thinking of upgrading, completing or just enjoying some Beefheart for the first time, this vinyl could be for you!

This is the original 1st press of Captain Beefheart And His Magic Band's 'Mirror Man' on the Buddha label from 1971.  This is the rare die cut gatefold cover with 'cracke mirror' opening.  The abum slides out from the inside of the cover.  The die cut opening has a bit of creasing, small tear to the bottom right hand side of the 'mirror'.  The cover is still in very good condition with some creasing, scuffing and light edge wear.  The labels are in excellent condition.  The vinyl has the 1st press matrix numbers (see below).  The vinyl looks near mint, really bright and clean with virtually no marks.  Playback is superb with virtually no surface noise (except some light crackle/clicks in places).  This is a really nice, well looked after copy of a classic album.

I have played this album back in it's entirety at a reasonably loud volume on a pair of high end Sennheiser headphones to evaluate its condition.

In general the vinyl looks in near mint condition.  It looks very clean and bright with virtually no surface marks.  Virtually no surface noise (except some light crackle/clicks in places), excellent playback.  No skips/jumps.

I tend to be over critical of a records condition as it is not my intention to misrepresent what I am selling.  I want the buyer to feel what they have bought is as described although not everyones opinion of its condition will be the same as mine.

This is incorrect. The content is part of various material recorded over weeks in 1967 for an aborted double-album follow-up to "Safe As Milk" (known broadly as 'Brown Wrapper'). This 'Mirror Man'

recording is the first time some of the work officially surfaced, 4 years later as the 5th album - and why the band is "His Magic Band".
[This, together with "Strictly Personal" & "It Comes To You In A Plain Brown Wrapper" are inter-connected).

Further errors are perpetrated in the credits:
Alex St. Clair has had 'Snouffer' added to his alias, Handley is shown as Handsley & Semens as Simmons.
