Description
Most of you who are viewing this listing are already aware of how special this record is. Cap'n Jazz's first and only LP, alternatively know as "Shmap'n Shmazz", was released to an extremely limited quantity. I believe the head-count is somewhere around 500 or less the last time that I checked.
This record pops up on eBay and discogs.com - which is where I purchased this copy - every blue moon and when it does it doesn't take long for someone to snatch it up. The last copy I've seen sell on eBay was in a lesser condition than the one I am selling.
Now, onto the description:
This record is near perfection. I say "near perfection" because there are a couple blemishes that I know of and will explain in detail. The sleeve is in excellent condition with two small superficial creases; one on the spine and the other near the center of the front of the sleeve. Both creases are illustrated in pictures 10, 11, and 12. There are no rips, disconnected panels, stains, or other damage to the sleeve. I would conservatively and confidently grade the sleeve as a strong -NM to EX.
The media is in excellent condition as well, with only a minor surface scratch on one side. This scratch does not affect playback and is simply a visual blemish. The scratch can be seen in picture 7. Other than the aforementioned, this record is shiny with no fingerprints or dust particles and there are no clicks or pops during playback. I've played this record once since owning it and it has been stored in a box in an upright position since.
