Description
Capability Brown was a band of 6 multi-instrumentalists with terrific vocal harmonies making short, should-have-been-hit, pop songs and more complex extended pieces. Their skill at vocal arrangements alone should have garnered them success. The lineup consisted of Tony Ferguson (guitar, bass), Dave Nevin (keyboards, guitar, bass), Kenny Rowe (bass, percussion), Grahame White (guitar, bass), Joe Williams (percussion) and Roger Willis (drums, keyboards). Ferguson and Nevin wrote the majority of the band’s material, the rest being covers (Rare Bird’s “Beautiful Scarlet” and “Redman", and Argent’s “Liar").
Voice is the second of their two albums and containes the epic Circumstances All pieces are good but Circumstances is mind blowing, with fine arrangements, grandiose choruses and ethereal atmospherics. Something to mention is that Brian May and even Freddy Mercury were big fans of Capability Brown in the early years of Queen. In some of Queen pieces are clear influences from Capability Brown, especially at the choruses and arrangements.

Having downsized our home, I am selling off my collection of vinyl to save space. Pains me to do it, but the time has come!
All that I am listing is from my personal collection and has been lovingly cared for. Most of my records were transferred to tape to prevent vinyl wear as can be seen from the photos accompanying each lot.
I have tried to be rigidly honest in my grading (as per RC Rare Record Price Guide), so you can buy with confidence. All records will be shipped in reinforced card containers with strengtheners where required.
