Description

CYBERNETIC SERENDIPITY MUSIC. ULTRA RARE EXHIBITION LP

The vinyl is in perfect condition.  The jacket has no splits but does have some creases as you might expect after 46 years.

This record was made to celebrate and commemorate the Cybernetic Serendipity exhibition held at the ICA, London,  August 1 to October 20, 1968.  The music is by leading computer music composers of the day including Cage, Zenakis, Zinovieff and others.  As well as being seminal, this exhibition marked the turning point for computer music from esoteric to accepted in the world of experimental composers in and out of academia.

My friend, composer Herbert Brün, one of the composers included in the album made a gift to me of this LP and the book from the exhibition.  The book will soon be listed on ebay.

One of these album sold for $164 on popsike.com in 2006.  Do a Google search on this title and you can confirm it.  Just recently a bad looking copy sold for over $100.  The initial price listed here is a serious bargain.
