Extremely rare, unique copy of 2002 release, never offered for sale before. The Seahorse Rears to Oblivion by Current 93. Hand numbered 4/10 test pressing, signed and dedicated by David Tibet. Handwritten labels by David Tibet. This edition is just gorgeous. Cover art by visionary genius Louis Wain, full-color psychedelic overload, wrapped in stickered plastic sleeve. This test pressing comes with tons of unique extras in a white folder with a print of David Tibet’s Comets and Constellations print on the front including: 2 block prints of David Tibet’s Comets and Constellations artwork on white paper, signed and numbered 4/10 by David Tibet, a print on manila colored paper signed and numbered 4/10 by David Tibet, a red print on white paper with a Corinthians quote printed on the top of the page also signed and numbered 4/10 by David Tibet, a full page of 24 stickers printed with “The Seahorse Rears To Oblivion” printed to stick to the front cover of the plastic sleeve of the album, a full page of 24 stickers printed “Don’t’ Take the Mark!” printed to stick to the back cover of the LPs, and 2 full pages of 48 stickers used to seal the envelopes of extras included with the LP. 4 versions of one of Tibet’s most powerful visions. Seahorse Rears to Oblivion was originally scheduled to appear on Current 93’s Soft Black Stars album, but was dropped at the last minute. You’ll never see a Seahorse test pressing package offered for sale again I’m sure, ridiculously rare collector’s item from one of the seminal groups in England’s Hidden Reverse. A beautiful release.
