CULTURE CLUB - In Concert 298 (CN4147S / 152042-S/152042-S), BBC Transcription Service; Vinyl LP, UK 1983, with cue sheet, artist bio and original BBC custom cover (yellow w/green print, sticker on cover/radio station info), polylin. inner sleeve.

Original LP - not a bootleg or later reprint.

Condition vinyl: near mint (played once or twice for broadcasting purposes); condition cover: near mint, condition label: near mint (clean, w/o any writing etc.).

Very rare BBC In Concert radio show. Recorded exclusively for BBC radio broadcast, not commercially available. Limited one run pressing of less than 50 copies. Close to 1 hour commercial free live music. All BBC transcripts with stunning clean and dynamic sound quality. Absolutely great audio! The premium of vinyl radio shows!

Culture Club smashed into the U.K. charts in 1982with a No.1 song called Do You Really Want To Hurt Me?, which later became a huge hit, and an album which also made the top of the charts entitled Kissing to be Clever. Culture Club were a London-based four piece revolving around the flamboyant character of singer Boy George. Before coming into music George modelled for TV and magazine advertising while working as a make-up artist with the Royal Shakespeare Company. He put this experience to good use both on and off stage and created an image which could hardly go unnoticed, even in a music scene which has always had a liberal sprinkling of eccentrics. Britain's ever-tolerant rock fans once dubbed him best-dressed male and female singer, a unique accolade from our good- humoured 'punters'. Performance recorded at London's Lyceum Theatre from the best-selling album, "Kissing to be Clever".
