CRESSIDA ASYLUM – 1st PRESSING – VERTIGO SWIRL – RARE – EX/VG

I’ve been an eBay member for over 17 years with 1700 100% positive feedback. This is a relatively new account to keep my record and music memorabilia sales separate.

A rare copy of the original pressing of this prog rock classic. I have listened to the whole of the record in order to describe it fully. Sound quality is great and it plays really well.

The disc is EX, it looks great. Obviously under a harsh light there are the usual “sleeve marks”, but in natural light there are just a couple of visible light marks; nothing that spoils play.

On both sides there is a light crackle during the run-ins and between the tracks. This can also be heard in some (but not all) of the quieter parts, but no repeated clicks.

On side A there is a very light hairline across the last three tracks and on side B another across part of track 1. Neither of these can be heard and they do not detract from sound quality.

Unfortunately, a previous owner has written their name on the label on both sides.

The sleeve is only VG. No real problems on the front. Inside, the same person has written again. The back has suffered less well and there are several scratches across it and a small sticker top right. The spine is clean and readable.

I always try to describe accurately even if there is bad news. Overall, it’s clearly been played but is in great shape for 49-year-old vinyl. It’s still a copy of a rare and collectable record that can be played and enjoyed despite cosmetic issues.
