The records that I offer for sale have been critically play-graded, at loud volume, on a Rega Planar 3 turntable fitted with an Elys cartridge. I will only sell records that play to a high standard. Any significant playing defects will be detailed in the description below. I know how disappointing it is to receive a record graded as excellent, only to find that listening pleasure is spoiled by endless pops, loud clicks and intrusive background crackle. I guarantee that you will not buy such a record from me!!

The winning bidder can expect to receive a clean record, carefully packaged, with the vinyl removed from the inner and outer sleeves to prevent splits in transit.

Here for auction is an exceptional example of the third album by CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL titled “GREEN RIVER”, Catalogue Number LBS 83273 on the LIBERTY LABEL. This is an ORIGINAL 1969 UK STEREO *1st PRESSING* with the EARLIEST LIGHT BLUE/DARK BLUE LIBERTY LABELS, THE EARLIEST MATRIX NUMBERS WITH VERY EARLY STAMPERS, and 1st ISSUE TEXTURED SLEEVE.

The single textured sleeve, with “A Product of Liberty/UA Records Ltd. London, England” text printed on the back, is in EXCELLENT CONDITION (strictly graded). The front and back covers are in beautiful unmarked condition. The vivid colours are still bright and clear. The top and bottom edges show some light storage wear. The opening edges are in excellent shape with only the lightest signs of use. The corners are fairly square with just a little rubbing at the tips. The slim spine has a few small creases but the text is clearly legible. Overall, a very well preserved example of this fragile 1st issue sleeve!!

The record is a top quality Liberty 1st pressing. It is solidly pressed and sits flat and true on the turntable. It retains a just-pressed mirror-like shine.

Visually both sides are in EXCELLENT+ CONDITION with just very light surface marks evident under bright light (mostly from taking the record in and out of the inner sleeve). These marks are purely superficial and do not cause any audio problems. The beautiful light/dark blue Liberty labels are unmarked with just a few light spindle traces near the centres. There is still plastic flashing present in the spindle hole. I am confident that the record has not been played many times.

PLAYGRADE ASSESSMENT:

This is a particularly loud-cut and vibrant recording. The amazing sounds that emanate from these 1st press grooves are very special. All frequencies play crystal clear and there is no discernable deterioration in the sound quality. Playback is near perfect. There are no pops or loud clicks, and barely any unwanted noise. A better playing copy will be very difficult to find!!

Complete with the original plain white inner sleeve which is in very good condition. There is just some age discoloration and a small split to one side edge. “PATENT APPLIED FOR” and “MADE IN ENGLAND” are printed at the bottom in blue ink.

1st PRESSINGS OF THIS CLASSIC ALBUM WITH A SLEEVE OF THIS QUALITY AND NEAR PERFECT PLAYBACK ARE SERIOUSLY DIFFICULT TO FIND - DON’T MISS THE OPPORTUNITY!!!
