Description
This is an auction for a rare double LP by Cream, Wheels Of Fire.
This was released on Polydor Records in 1968 and has catalogue number 583031/2. This is the 1st pressing and the rarer mono pressing.
Matrix Numbers- 583031 A2 583031 B1 583032 A1 583032 B1
Condition: The sleeve has buffing to the edges and to the very corners, some discolouring marks and a few light creases, one edge will also need regluing back, No tears, centre ex, complete and graded at VG. Please check the pictures for clarification.
This has two different inner sleeves so one is probably not the original.
Labels: 3 labels are clean and look new, label C has a scuff mark, under closer examination some spider spindle trails can be seen on all sides, the centre hole shows little to no signs of wear.
Vinyl- All sides retain there new shine, when examined under a strong light a few feather scratches can be seen.
I have played this through all sides and found that the above mentioned scratches are completely non-audible. Quiet breaks and entries, no fading, distortion or dragging heard whatsoever. The music itself plays with very litttle lessening in sound quality and does not suffer in any reduction through wear. Other than the very occasional quiet crackle this sounds fine.
This one is graded at a strict VG+ and probably sounds a little better- simply down-graded for the feather scratches and because it has been played more than a few times.
A very nice collectable, Fresh Cream and Disraeli Gears on my Ebay now which also have super sound quality .
