1957 Count Basie LP with same title on RCA Victor - LPM1112

Early example of Andy Warhol's record cover art

Cover picture in excellent condition with some discoloring due to age (can probably be cleaned). There are 1 inch seam splits at the opening edge at top and bottom as well as a 2 inch split at the bottom. There is also a small defect in the RCA logo at top right where a price label has been removed.

The record is in VG+ condition.

This Warhol protrait of COunt Basie is interesting as it shows a transition in Warhol's technique from straight portraiting towards his characteristic "blotted line" drawings that made him famous in the mid fifties.
