Up for auction is a very rare LP by COSMIC EYE titled "Dream Sequence" and is an ORIGINAL 1972 UK 1st pressing on the 1st Press Regal Zonophone label (stereo SLRZ 1030). THE GLOSSY VINYL, WITH THE RED & SILVER LABEL, IS IN EX+ CONDITION WITH LIGHT SLEEVE MARKS AND CLEAN LABELS. THE COVER, WITH 'GARROD & LOFTHOUSE' ON THE BACK COVER, IS IN VG++ CONDITION WITH NO SEAM SPLITTING OR WRITING, DOES HAVE SOME RING WEAR AND CORNER BENDING. INCLUDES THE UK INNER SLEEVE. "Dream Sequence by Cosmic Eye features largely a crew of British jazz musicians from the early 70's taking a stab at psychedelia and doing a damn good job of it. The music was conceived by renown guitarist Amancio D'Silva, who is joined by violinist John Mayer (of Indo-Jazz fusions fame), Sitar player Viram Jasani, Kashev Sathe (of Magic Carpet Band fame) on tabla, Alan Branscombe on percussion and saxophone, plus others on flute, alto flute, bass flute, bass, tabla, and drums. D’Silva’s website says this about the album: “This record, has been called everything from Trans-Psych to progressive rock meets Indo Jazz (that owing to the line-up perhaps, which includes Indo-Jazz giant John Mayer and at the other end of the spectrum a fairly rock sounding bass and drum section). It kind of plays as a single piece almost, one theme blending into the next. It's ethereal yet striking. Distant chimes meld with tabla breaks and elegant and pure toned guitar.” CLEANED ON A VPI RECORD CLEANER.
