Copperhead

'S/T'

Columbia, USA, 1973

KC 32250

FANTASTIC QUICKSILVER Messenger Service spin off project formed by guitarist extraordinaire John Cipollina. Where as QMS traded in long spindly Grateful Dead style hippie jams, Copperhead were unashamedly an explosive five piece hard rock unit formed with the direct intention of causing as much collateral damage as possible. Cipollina's guitar sounds like its been hot wired, his slide work is truly amazing and the band are dead keen to get the message across in a big way.

Stylistically the bands approach is similar to the Blue Oyster Cult - intelligent riffs, complex arrangements and a sense of maturity that suggests that they put a bit of thought into the project before going into the studio.

Tough to find these days let alone still in shrink! This is a perfect copy - I can guarantee that you'll never find a better one.
