COMUS: First Utterance. Dawn UK stereo orig (orange label first press). DNLS 3019. 1971
Well, here's one that you don't see these days. It's the first copy I've had for sale for years. This album is rated by many as the absolute pinnacle of folk/psych/prog. It's a strange, haunting album, with dark lyrics, that at times defies description. The gatefold sleeve is in decent shape, there's some spine-wear, a small stain on the front top left (see pic). There's a bit of ring-wear on the back (nothing serious), and a light stain by the centre of the inside gatefold. There are no tears, splits or writing. All told, I'd grade the sleeve VG. The insert is in nice shape, just a bit age-worn. I'd grade that VG too. The side 2 label has been signed by a previous owner, otherwise the labels are fine. The vinyl is in lovely condition. Just a couple of marks that don't affect the playing. I'd grade the vinyl EX. This is not a Mint copy, but it's as good a copy as I've seen for ages. A really nice item.
