First Utterance

DAWN DNLS 3019 - UK

On sale an original UK issue of the debut LP by the English group COMUS, mixing Progressive, Psychedelia and Folk, released by the DAWN label in 1971.

COVER - Gatefold cover in VG+ condition with light age wear and some creases. A 4cm top seam split is on the right pane, the other seams are solid, with the LP credits on the left side still legible.
Included is the original INSERT, with lyrics printed on both sides.

INNER - Standard plastic-lined white inner sleeve with centre hole and "UK Patent no..." writing in blue ink.

VINYL - Has some scuffs and superficial marks, no deep marks. Graded VG+, plays with light surface noise.
Record playgraded using a Shure V15-Type III stylus at 1.5gr.

LABELS - No writings or tears. Original orange Dawn labels.

RECORD COLLECTOR MAGAZINE'S GRADING SYSTEM

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packag­ing might have slight wear and/or creasing. 

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable sur­face marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. 

GOOD:The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc. 

FAIR:The record is still just playable but has not been cared for prop­erly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR:The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing. 

Please notice that I don't use Mint but NEAR MINT (which is very close but refers to a secondhand used record) except for Sealed/Brand New/Unplayed records, and I don't sell Poor or unplayable records. I try to be as honest as possible when grading records, but a mistake can be made from time to time.

Copia originale inglese del primo LP del gruppo inglese COMUS, un mix di progressive, psichedeklia e folk, pubblicato dalla DAWN nel 1971.

COPERTINA - La copertina apribile è in condizioni VG+, con usura generale e qualche piega. C'è uno strappo di 4 cm di lunghezza sul lato superiore del pannello di destra della copertina apribile, gli altri lati sono integri, con i dati del disco sulla costa ancora perfettamente leggibili.
E' incluso l'INSERTO originale, con i testi stampati su entrambi i lati.

BUSTA INTERNA - Busta standard bianca con interno in plastica e foro centrale, con scritta "UK Patent no..." in lettere celesti.

VINILE - Ha qualche graffio superficiale, ma nessuno profondo. Valutato VG+, suona con leggero scricchiolio rumore di fondo.
Disco ascoltato con una testina Shure V15-Type III del peso di 1.5gr.

ETICHETTE - Niente scritte né strappi. Etichette originali Dawn color arancione.
