Rare, original 1980 Japanese pressing of the
classic 80's-Soul album
Original, vinyl copies of this Modern-Soul gem are very scarce
- this, ultra-rare, Japanese copy is in superb condition!
Fantastic, debut and only album release from the talented vocal duo; including the, brilliant, 80's-groove, club-hit "Top Of The Stairs" - a cover of the Ashford & Simpson classic and "You Know How To Make Me Feel So Good" written by Motown, song-writing, legends Gamble & Huff.
A memorable mix of 80's soul, disco and top-quality song writing, this classic album was produced by John Davis, member of Philadephia International's, MFSB studio-session band, during it's heyday of the late 60's to early 70's. Davis was also involved in producing and arranging William DeVaughn's 1974, million-selling, R&B hit, "Be Thankful For What You've Got".
This is the very scarce, Japanese (Victor) pressing of the A&M album, released on their "Urban Black 2000 (yen) Series", aimed at promoting Soul and R&B music in Japan in the 80's.

Vinyl:
Visual condition: The disc is in superb condition; clean and shiny, with no scuffs or scratches; not even any faint, surface marks, as would be expected from occasional removal from inner-sleeve.
Audible condition: Sound is bright and clear with no pops or clicks at all and no distortion or background noise, even between tracks.
Sleeve:
Condition: The sleeve is in excellent condition - stiff and flat, with no bends or tears, square corners, perfect edges, top & bottom and a rigid, undamaged spine, with all text clearly visible. Only flaws are one light surface crease to front cover and slight damage to bottom-edge of rear cover, where missing "obi" sash was attached (see pictures). No insert.
